I have lived in Canada since 1997 and moved to Victoria in 2003 — a place I am delighted to call home. I love it here! I have worked all of my life in non-profit or social service organizations at various positions including Social Worker, Program Coordinator and Executive Director. After moving to Canada in my mid forties, I discovered my real passion was for art and creativity in various crafts, but my work prevented me from really finding the time to pursue these interests. Since taking early retirement I have been able to focus on a variety of creative pursuits and spend most days covered in paint, paper or material just having fun. I am very excited to now be able to bring together my previous work and my passion for art and creativity to serve as a board member for artsREACH.
